Domaine Le Rec d’Al Four bevindt zich in een heuvelachtig gebied, met bossen en wijn-domeinen, aan de voet van de Franse Pyreneeën. Het ligt in een beschutte kom, aan een zeer rustige weg, 1 km buiten de kern van Castelreng. Wij, Bert en Marianne, een Nederlands stel, hebben in 2009 de biologische groentenkwekerij met 3 vakantiewoningen overgenomen.
Domaine Le Rec d’Al Four se trouve dans une zone de collines, de forêts et vignes, au pied des Pyrénées. Il est situé dans une cuvette abritée, dans une environment très calme, 1 km du centre de Castelreng. Nous, Bert et Marianne, un couple de hollandais, avons récupée en 2009, une maraîchage des légumes biologique, avec 3 maisons de vacances.
Domaine Le Rec d'Al Four is situated in a hilly environment with woods and wine estates, at the foot of the Pyrenees. It is a secluded place situated at a very quiet road, just one kilometer from the village of Castelreng. We are Bert and Marian, a Dutch couple that aquired the organic vegetable growery with three holiday homes in 2009.
Gîtes
We hebben 3 vakantie- appartementen: Gîte Forêt voor 2-4 p.(met eigen terras); Gîte Lavande voor 4-6 p. (met eigen terras en kleine tuin) en Gîte Soleil voor 6-8 p. (met een groot balkon), die naast ons huis en de kwekerij zijn gelegen. Alle vakantie-gasten kunnen gebruik maken van de centrale tuin, de speelplaats en het zwembad (5m. x 10m. x 1.10m diep). Iedere vakantiewoning heeft zijn eigen BBQ.

Nous avons 3 gîtes : Gîte Forêt pour 2-4 p. (avec terrasse) ; Gîte Lavande pour 4-6 p. (avec sa propre terrasse et petit jardin) et Gîte Soleil pour 6-8 p. (avec un grand balcon). Les gîtes sont situés à côté de notre maison et le maraîhage. Toutes les locataires peuvent utiliser le jardin central, la cour de récréation et la piscine (5 m x 10 m x 1,10 m de profondeur). Chaque appartement a son propre barbecue.

Gîtes
We have three vacation homes: Gîte Forêt for 2 to 4 persons with a private terrace, Gîte Lavande for 4 to 6 persons with a private terrace and small garden, and Gîte Soleil for 6 to 8 persons with a large balcony. The homes are located next to our home and close to the vegetable nursery. All guests are welcome to use the central garden, the playing area, and the swimming pool (5m x 10m x 1.10m depth). Each holiday home has its own barbecue.

Kwekerij
Onze biologische groenten-kwekerij bestaat uit 8 tunnelkassen met daarin seizoens-groenten: in de zomer en herfst o.a. tomaten, komkommer, paprika, aubergine, bonen. In de winter en het voorjaar o.a. diverse salades, radijs, courgettes, venkel. Buiten hebben we ongeveer een hectare aan vollegrond-groente teelten zoals prei, wortel, koolsoorten, salades, tomaten, pompoenen, meloenen, courgettes, kruiden. Onze biologische groenten zijn voor de vakantiegasten beschikbaar. Ook kunnen de gasten een kijkje nemen op de kwekerij.
Maraîchage
Notre maraîchage biologiques se compose de 8 serres tunnel contenant des légumes de saison : en été et en automne, e.a. tomates, concombres, poivrons, aubergines, haricots. En hiver et au printemps, e.a. diverses salades, radis, courgettes, fenouil. Dehors, nous avons environ un hectare de cultures plein champs, telles que poireaux, carottes, choux, salades, tomates, citrouilles, melons, courgettes, herbes. Nos légumes biologiques sont disponibles pour les locataires. Vous pouvez également prendre un coup d'oeil à la maraîchage.
Growery
Our organic growery consists of eight tunnel greenhouses were we grow seasonal vegetables: in summer and fall for instance tomatoes, cucumbres, peppers, eggplants and beans. In winter and spring for instance lettuces of various varieties, radish, courgette and fennel. Outside we have about one hectare of field-scale vegetables like carrot, cabbages, lettuce, tomatoes, squash, melon, courgette and herbs. These organic vegetables are available for our guests. You are welcome to have a look at our growery.
Omgeving
In Limoux (8 km) vindt u een aantal grote supermarkten, bakkers, kleine winkels en restaurants. Er is een gezellig dorpsplein met cafés en terrasjes en een aantal unieke musea. Op een half uur rijden kunt u wildwatervaren op de Aude of zwemmen in het Lac de Montbel. Er zijn vele wandelmogelijkheden in de omgeving. In iets meer dan een uur rijden bent u aan de Middenlandse zee. In de omgeving zijn vele Cataren-ruïnes te bezichtigen. De historische stad Carcassonne bevindt zich op ongeveer 40 min. afstand.
Les environs
À Limoux (8 km), vous trouverez quelques grands supermarchés, les boulangeries, les petites boutiques et les restaurants. Il y a une place de village confortable avec cafés et terrasses. Direction Alet-les-Bains (20 min.) vous pouvez faire du canoë et le rafting sur l'Aude. Dans le Lac de Monbel vous pouvez nager. Il y a nombreuses possibilités de randonnée pédestre dans la région. Dans un peu plus d'une heure de route se trouve la mer Méditerranée. Les environs dispose de nombreuses ruines à visiter. La ville historique de Carcassonne est environ 40 minutes de Castelreng.
Surroundings
In Limoux (at 8 km) you can find a number of large supermarkets, bakeries, small shops and restaurants. The village has a cosy town square with bars and terraces and a number of unique musea. Rafting is possible on the Aude (30 minute drive) and swimming in the Lac de Montbel. The area offers numerous hiking opportunities and there are numerous ruins to visit. It takes just over one hour to drive to the Mediterranean. Going to the historical town of Carcassonne takes about 40 minutes.
